How to overcome “Discontentment”?

Yeshua Vs Mammon-.png

Looking at life when all have prospered and you left with knowing Jesus alone :

By comparing ourselves with others and that too people go far so high in life with riches, fame, name, we tend to condemn ourselves for not doing well.

Thoughts, “like we should have done this”, “we should have studied this”, “we should have married this person” haunt us and block our progress in spirit.

This advise to Timothy from His spiritual father Paul is the right one to take five times a day.

Let this truth permeate in us all you people who are called by God for His kingdom work.

Advice for Timothy, of course it’s for you too, sons of GOD !

How NOT to be a rich (Worldly Rich), should be?

1 Timothy 6 : 5-13 New King James Version (NKJV)

5 useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself. 6 Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8 And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. 9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

The Good Confession

11 But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

How to be a rich (Godly Rich) should be?

1 Timothy 6:17-21 New King James Version (NKJV)

Instructions to the Rich

17 Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. 18 Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, 19 storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Guard the Faith

20 O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge— 21 by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith.

Grace be with you. Amen.

And we are here for others sons of God, we suffer for others to live, rejoice being like Jesus.

Yeshua suffered for others.

World and it’s friendship is enmity with God.

Let us learn this from Paul

1 Corinthians 4 : 7-13 New King James Version (NKJV)

7 For who makes you differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did indeed receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?

8 You are already full! You are already rich! You have reigned as kings without us—and indeed I could wish you did reign, that we also might reign with you! 9 For I think that God has displayed us, the apostles, last, as men condemned to death; for we have been made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men. 10 We are fools for Christ’s sake, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are dishonored! 11 To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and we are poorly clothed, and beaten, and homeless. 12 And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure; 13 being defamed, we entreat. We have been made as the filth of the world, the off scouring of all things until now.

This sufferings Oh’ sons of God you go through is for more glory.

Praise Jesus, for this life given to Him fully.

By His mercy we endure all sufferings.
